1 Martie Fericit!

"Martisorul" is a romanian tradition which celebrates the first day of spring. It is considered a symbol of luck and happiness, made from two pieces of thread forming a small bow. The colors are red and white, the red symbolizes the spring and the white symbolizes the winter. The objects that are usually attached to this bow are: a four-leaf clover, a chimney-sweeper, a horseshoe, or a heart and it is offered to women and girls as a thank you.
